Iain Nicholson & Co was set up in April 1967 by Iain Nicholson, and his was joined by his partner Peter Dakin in 1972.
The Policy of the Firm has emphasised “the Care of the Client” and to this end of the objective has been to harness quality work under one roof and resist the pressure to extend into a branch office network, where extended lines of communication make quality control more difficult.
The location of Ponteland was chosen not only because of strong local connections but for its attractive environment, which is close enough to the fast Newcastle City life, the easy availability of rail and air travel and the tranquil setting where Partners and Staff can concentrate on looking after Client needs in a detached environment.
The Philosophy has always been to put the Client first and out of this has grown a successful business, where Clients become Friends and Friends become Clients.
Iain Nicholson and Co always have believed in the close cooperation of business, sport and culture in the development of a thriving region. Landmarks such as the Baltic Flour Mill, the Bridges and the Angel of the North have contributed to a high profile for the region. Similarly Newcastle United FC have for some time now performed at the highest level and have produced some footballing legends. But more recently the Newcastle Falcons have made their mark on the North Eastern map. They have a ‘star-studded’ line-up, and a ground to match and it is for this reason we are proud to have been associated with Newcastle Falcons sponsoring Jamie Noon from 2001.
